An 897-acre flagship public green space located in Queens, New York City, celebrated for its rich historical legacy and massive complex of world-class cultural and sporting venues. Originally transformed from a wetland ash dump by urban planner Robert Moses, it famously hosted two World's Fairs (1939โ1940 and 1964โ1965) and even served as the temporary home of the United Nations General Assembly from 1946 to 1950. Today, it functions as a vibrant "working park" and community hub for one of the most ethnically diverse populations in the world.
